Avoid if possible.

Lima is not a place i would recommend to anyone. Lets just say its one of those places where you MUST lock the doors of your vehicle while driving at all times. We heard many horror stories about people getting mugged at knife point or even gun point. Its best to stay in Miraflores which is about 30 minutes from Lima. A smidge easier on the eyes, more pricey, but not to entertaining.

We came here for two days because we had to pick up Rachel`s air ticket replacement. Otherwise i`m sure we would have flown in the day before our flight out. Oh well. We made some really nice friends at our hostel! That was nice.

I finally got Rach to go paragliding! We went over the coast. She loved it! I thought it was ok....after skydiving it really doesn`t compare. But i can at least say i`ve tried it right? Another check on the list of life.

All in all i was relieved to leave Lima. Unfortunately, our cab driver got into an accident on the way to the airport. We were all fine...it was actually the first accident rach has ever been in. After that....I was really done with Lima. So good luck to anyone who has the unfortunate luck of flying there! :)

P.S. The rest of Peru is flippin amazing! Ocean, Jungle, Mountains...theyve got it all! Great people. Awesome experience.
