Took the pleasant drive down to Maligne Lake, stopping off at Medicine Lake on the way.  Went searching for Moose (at Moose Lake) but didn't find any ... didn't see any caribou either.

Medicine Lake - this is one of the reasons that Jasper National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, since it is a 'disappearing' lake; it has an underground run off and fills up and empties when conditions change - looked quite strange.

Maligne Lake is beautiful and appears on umpteen calendars ...

Maligne Lake - beautiful spot, you will probably recognise the pictures from umpteen calendars; you can take a boat on to the lake, but we decided we had probably seen enough boats this trip and went for a hike looking for moose instead ...
