First proper day sightseeing!

Firstly very sorry for the lack of posts, we have been moving around almost every day, and apart from 2 min last night on, I have not been near a computer. The computer I now have for 10 more min, so this will be shortish. (apologies the key board does not type a m very well)

In Jaipur this was the first city we have really seen, the first morning we went up to a place called the Amber Fort. This was a fort on top of a big hill, to get up the hill we took an elephant, photos will follow I promise, it was great but we did have two men trying to sell us things all the way up, it took about 15min. Once we got to the top we wandered round, very interesting with pics sorry. we next saw the City palace and the Observatory, both very nice and old. I forgot to add that we also went and saw how carpets are made, it seems very interesting and a long process, the best bit was the complimentary alcohol and then the sales pitch in which a lot of carpets were roled out in front of us.

The best part came that night, four of us decided that we wanted to eat in the city and look around the bazaars, fine we were shown where to eat and on a map where to go. You might be interested to know that in India traffic laws seem to be a bit nonexistent!! so actually getting to where we wanted to go was very hairy, almost got killed riding in a cycle rickshaw as it cycled the wrong way down the street, then we tried to cross the traffic! it took almost 5min to cross the road and i'm sure i had several near death experiences. all in all a great experience. I have to go now as my 10 min is up, I'll try to write more tomorrow to keep this blog up to date as best as I can. Bye:)
