This Paddy's Day my family and I went to NYC to see the big parade. We had never done this before and thought it might be fun. A local bus company was doing a "Free Day in NYC" tour so we got tickets for the bus ride up and decided to go to the parade.

The ride from our home to NYC take about 2.5-3 hours. Mainly I slept on the bus which was good because we left very early in the morning to go. We got into Manhattan about 10:30 a.m. It was a very cold day and everyone was bundled up in all shades of green.

I knew this parade was huge but My God this was ridiculous! There were people everywhere, you could hardly walk through the sidewalks there was that many people and forget moving around on the streets the parade goes through.

After walking for several blocks we found one section of sidewalk that wasn't hogged up by people and we claimed it. We were right down from St. Patrick's and you could see fairly well from where we were standing.
