Coffee Plantation

The final day in Salento we went to 2 coffee plantations.  One was a small one-man operation, which I guess is who produce most of the coffee here.  The other was a bit larger and more organized.  The most interesting things that I learned was that the product of Colombia is mostly just the dried beans, most of the roasting is done in the US. And also that the good beans are all exported.  The less productive, uglier beans are used for the coffee in Colombia.  As you can see in the pictures, there are lots of flowers on the larger plantation.  Colombia was so many flowers everywhere... it is amazing.
