Not much to report from Riobamba arrived in the arvo and up at 5 the next morning to catch a somewhat famous train where you sit on the roof and go down a section of track called the devils nose.  The train left at around 6:30am, we were sitting on the roof and it was FREEZING, could barely operate the camera, fortunately it got warmer as the sun came up and the last half of the 4 hour train ride was very pleasant with some pretty good views although the devils nose section was a tad disappointing.  We were imagining an extreme descent and hanging on for dear life but it was just a series of switchbacks down a mountain side...still not too bad.  I think Jo enjoyed finally getting to put on all her winter woollies including beanie with ear flaps more than the ride itself.  The train finished in Alausi and from here we caught the bus directly to Cuenca (5 hours) which as per usual showed another Van Damme movie in badly dubbed Spanish.
