Man.. it's cold.. reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal cold.. no heater but worse.. no power to make coffee either.. Oh god.. that's right, it really happened.. I'm really living this nightmare, it wasn't a dream :(

Inverter, Converter.. what's the damn difference?

I nearly ready to email the travel agent now and ask how I can get home!

The auto electrician guy says we should drive to Gillette which is a larger town with more RV repair guys, but gave us a jump start and we were on our way..

Got to Gillette and rang a place and he said he was too busy today but thank god he recommended another place in the same town.

Aaah.... a repair place.. the two men that 'rescued' us told us that the battery itself is brand new and perfect BUT a faulty inverter or converter was draining the battery..

Now I don't know much about all of this nonsense, but you need one of them to switch the power from AC power to mains and back again or something like that.. I try not to polulte my brain with the technicalities of the situation.. Just give  me the facts.. How long will it take.. How much will it cost .. and how can my life be made less miserable !

So a brand new unit and a wait of about 3 hours and $600 and some mindless chit chat to the mechanics.. Greg even pulled out the Australia book and we showed them our colourful cash and told them all about our roos and found out about how to tell the age of a stag !

Then about 3 pm, and on the road again and a very late lunch/early dinner and spent the night at Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort in South Dakota.

Oh yeah.. we crossed another border !

Cooked dinner, had a luxury shower - .. to rave about a shower is odd I know, but we're becoming experts.. We do have a shower in the RV, but the pressure isn't fantastic and it's not very big...

Anyway - back to small piece of paradise..   EAch shower had its own toilet and bench and basin.. It was a private large bathroom in a single unit.  Pretty fantastic.

Man I miss my deluxe spa.. I joke to Greggy to pur me a wine, run my spa and pass me the Foxtel IQ remote controle for the plasma in the ensuite !  We're damn spoilt at home.  I can honestly say I LURRRRRVE my home and I'm not taking it for granted again !
