Travel (Flights 1&2)

SO! Everyone always wants to know how the flight was.

I arrived at Dulles and Krista successfully pointed out there was no line. So we said our goodbyes and I went up to the counter..."Oh - no, your line will be around the corner" = Translation: "We're hiding the frightening length of the line from you."

So I turned the corner and sure enough there was the 100+ people I expected. It was ok though, it passed in about 30 minutes and I was on my way. I got to the terminal craving spaghetti and found no food, Starbucks was broken AND the Pot Belly placed messed up my order for a breakfast sandwich. Ugh.

I then realized that the check-in woman had mentioned SOMETHING about not having a seat. Oops. So of course I called the parental units (they flipped out), but I was too tired to stress (phew!). So - I said and waited for another 30 minutes and then we were told the plane was late. Oh goodie.

In the end it left 1.5 hours late and I got a seat 5 minutes before boarding closed. The plane was not full. I will never, ever understand air travel in the USA.

The flight was  fine. Food = ravioli. Movies = horrible (didn't watch any...they were THAT bad). And the guy on my right saved me breakfast, but the guy on my left kept breaking cell phone and electronics rules. Gosh. Oh well.

I then arrived in FRANKFURT!

I had about an hour. My itinerary had the wrong terminal on it, so I almost got miserably lost and would have missed my flight, but I realized the mistake before it got too bad. I did some duty free shopping.

The flight was then also announced late.

OH GOODIE! So - yeah...an hour later we boarded, ate icky fish and I slept the entire time (again). Movie = Ratatouille.

The flight arrived in New Delhi at 2:30 a.m. (1hr15 minutes late).

The REAL adventure then began...YAY!
