Arrival

Can´t quite believe I´m here...

After a very tearful send-off at the airport with Rach, and 16 hours wedged in a seat on a British Airways plane which was two hours late leaving, I´ve arrived in my first stop of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

I´m sure I could smell BBQ as I left the airport terminal...

Still, managed to sleep quite well on the plane and watched a couple of movies, so wasn´t all bad, and had a very easy transfer from the airport to my hostel.

The Argentines are famous for their BBQs - asados - of grilled meat, and I swear I could actually smell some right as the airport doors slid open.  Looking forward to trying the real thing, the hostel here does it on Fridays.

And Boca Juniors are playing a local derby game on Friday as well, so going to try and get a ticket for that as it sounds like it will be a good game.

It´s Sunday afternoon here, so its dead quiet with hardly anyone on the streets. My dorm room faces the street and is only on the first level, so I hope it stays that way but i doubt it!

Having got myself here, all i´ve got to do now is figure out what to see, where to eat etc etc... wish me luck!
