Main stop...Cartagena has these nicknames...The Heroic City,The Door of the Americas,Capital of the Caribbean,The Mother City,The Walled City,The Key of the West Indies,The Fort of the Kingdom, Best Fortified City of the Americas....and appears to be as interesting as all these names might suggest.

Cartagena's colonial walled city and fortress were designated a Unesco Heritage Site in 1984. It is an interesting old city that is clean, safe and busy. Cartagena is considered to be the economic capital of the Caribbean.

We enjoyed our stop here and explored the old city and appreciated the spanish colonial architecture, great eating and good shopping.
