Ernest Hemmingway House Oct 6 2007
From Key West Oct 5 to Oct 9 2007. in Key West, United States on Oct 05 '07
Ernest Hemmingway lived in Key West for about 11 years from 1931 to 1942 in a house that was originally built by Asa Taft, the owner of a Wrecking Business. Taft not only had ships to pick up the cargo from shipwrecks but also a warehouse to store the cargo and an auction system to ultimately sell the cargo.
Hemmingway's wife, Pauline, (Hemmingway had 4 wifes) decorated and remodelled the house. The house had been empty for many years until it was purchased not to live in but to use as tourist attraction. The house was renovated to as closely as possible to the condition as was in Hemmingway's day.
Much of the presentation was on Hemmingway's colourfull life.
