Jarun is an artificial lake expanded on a natural one created by the Sava river.

The lake is the location of a sport and leisure center, Jarun, where people can row, paddle, sail, surf, swim, jog, bike, roller skate, and skateboard. Around the lake are many night clubs and cafes.

A very popular place for middle-class Croatians to meet and be seen exercising, we love it for the coffee and the relaxing view during the day. Jarun is more of a "place-to-be-seen" now rather than the true outdoor leisure environment that it is and on Fri&Sat nights it transforms into the "young & clueless" club scene ..but its still fun.
