Ferry, hydrofoil or drive back to Dubrovnik. Enjoy your last night in this spectacular city.

If You Have Extra Time:If you have an extra day or so, here are some options: Drive or arrange a tour to Montenegro, and hour’s-drive south from Dubrovnik. And sorry to disappoint, but although the casino scenes in Casino Royale, the latest Bond movie were supposedly taking place in Montenegro, they were actually shot in Prague. If you are a big windsurfer or just like to lounge on a beach, spend a day at Bol beach on Brac Island. This long triangular beach, called Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn) has a curved tip, which changes direction with the tide. 30 minutes south of Dubrovnik, the seaside town of Cavtat is an enjoyable day trip and popular launch pad for scuba divers. If you have an extra week, the Istrian Peninsula is fantastic Drive up the coast or fly from Split to Pula If you are in northern Italy, you can take a 3-hour ferry from Venice or even drive. Take in the amphitheatre in Pula, driving to the fortified towns on the way to Rovinj. In Rovinj pay a visit to the cathedral The 6th century, UNESCO site the Basilica of Euphrasius in Porec is a must. The luminous, well-preserved mosaics and the marble altar-stand are Luxuriate in Opatija, the old stomping ground of the Austrian ruling class.
