We arrived in the Canberra at night. It makes finding a site to get into a lot harder arriving at night but we never learnt from our experiences and still did it anyway!
After getting ready and waiting ages for a cab we finally arrived in the town ready for a few drinks in the Capital City. It was a tuesday night and it was meant to be pretty quiet anyway but it was dead. Completely dead. We eventually found a bar with about 12 people in so we stayed there for a drink or two but very quickly got bored with it and went back to bed.

The next morning we thought we'd do the touristy stuff and visit the Parliament Building; the only thing to do there it seems! We followed a tour guide round gaining info and seeing some of the main rooms which was quite a good experience, especially watching part of a session in the Senate Room. After getting a wave from the Minister of Defence we went to the roof to take some scenic photos. I got stung by a bee for the first time ever so i was pretty annoyed and very happy to leave. We drove over to the War Memorial to check out that. It was ok, about as good as any War Memorial can get i suppose but it was never going to eat up the rest of the day!

Overall it was pretty boring. Its very political and business orientated but it was very clean to be fair. Still not enough to keep us there though. It was time to do something really exciting...Drive the Great Ocean Road!
