Bareback horse racing and a pretty piazza!

Spent 2 nights in the medieval city of Siena. It’s famous for its yearly horse race in its main square, “Piazza del Campo”. We were able to witness a parade of the winning team and the winning horse. The Piazza was a highlight to hang out in. Most of the brick buildings were a rusty colour, which I believe is characteristic of many towns in Tuscany. We toured a couple of its cathedrals, including the classic gothic church, made of layers of black and white marble. It looks totally striped; reminded Crystal of Beetlejuice’s black and white suit. Siena was like a rest time for us...Robin had a chance to get sick one evening, and we also took our Hep B shots to prepare us for Thailand. Other than that, soaked up the Tuscan medieval surroundings, and consumed our daily quota of gelato.
It reminded Crystal of Beetlejuice’s black and white striped suit!
