A Day the Doctor Ordered

Our stop in Elk Grove Village was just what the doctor ordered! A beautiful sunny day with temps. in the 60's: T-shirt weather :) What more could we ask for...... except maybe a visit to Gander Mountain!(an outdoors store similar to Cabelas. Shocking that we would go there huh?) Lindsay(Dierdre's brother) let us borrow his GPS to get there and back. (Fine time to get one of these huh? We'd only traveled from NH to Illinois w/o one!)Anyway we had fun annoying it by driving in circles in parking lots. The voice was getting more and more annoyed w/us. (Doesn't take much to amuse us does it?) That evening we had a delicious dinner w/ Lindsay, his boys and his friend Jill @ a restaurant called Charlie's Charhouse. Yum, yum. Although wonderful to visit w/ family, we decided we didn't like the area. Way too congested for us, w/ clusters of housing developments w/o trees everywhere, definitely not for us. Sunday we headed out North and NW through Wisconsin on our way to Rochester, Minn., to see friends Tim and Joellen Gardner and their family.
