While we were in Tokyo we kept an eye our for the fashions out there.  It was so different than home.  The northwest is comfy clothes like jeans and hoodies.  Over there was like everyone was trendy and fashionable.  We went shopping asap to get some better clothes to fit it.

Anywho.  Fashion.  So for the girls the style according to the magazines was making your summer clothes 'winterable'.  So there were a lot of skirts and shorts with boots and funky socks.  All in different kinds and colors.  The puffy vests with the furry hoods.  Scarves scarves scarves and knit hats.  And phone bling.  We saw a chick with like 20 blingy thingys.  If not attatched to phones they were to purses and wallets.  You could buy those suckers at pretty much every store you went to.

And the men.  Everyone of them had murses (man purse).  And all the dudes believed in hair product.  It was funny seeing how GQ all the boys were over there and back home the boys try so hard to look like they roll out of bed and grow their hair into fros.

And for anyone who wants to see fashion if ever going to Japan and hitting Tokyo make sure you go to Harajuku (on a Sunday) because the stores are the trendiest.  From funky Hot Topic kinds of places to Chanel and Cartier.  Plus Sundays are usually the days all the freaks come out.  Wish we coulda got more pictures but this year the 'in' freak was dressing up like Little Bo Peep.  Bloomers and all.  And towing a carry on size decorated suitcase around (on wheels).  It acted as a purse and a place for all their shopping bags.  When we were researching the trip in past years the 'in' things were dead brides, bloody doctor scrubs, and Rainbow Brites.  It's like Halloween every weekend. (Odd considering they didn't start observing Halloween until recently)

Oh yeah and Chanel and all the Rodeo Drive-like places had a dress code so we couldn't even shop in them!

But then every once and awhile you'd still see somebody sporting the kimono around town.
