Christmas Eve In Fussen!!
From My Study Abroad in England in Fussen, Germany on Dec 23 '07
- Breakfast in
the morning-
- Champagne
- Scrambled eggs
- Bacon, like at home!!
- Croissants to die for
- Granola and yogurt
- The we decided to go out and explore
the town a bit
- Lots of people were out shopping
- We got a map and some info from the
tourist desk
- Main pedestrian street had a live band playing music.
- I wasn’t really looking for anything
in particular. Josie seemed to be in this frantic rush to buy Adrian a present and
get something for Brie. So I kinda just went along with it and followed
her around. I enjoy window shopping and browsing too.
- Bought a “snowball” a Christmas
cookie thing that comes in a ball and powered with sugar.
- Eventually she found him a sweater
in this kinda odd store. It was a coffee shop but also sold an assortment
of items, but everything was in plastic bags. It felt kinda like a mail
order catalogue but you were there.
- We walked up this hill to see this
clock tower that you could see from town. Above you could see the whole
town on one side and a river on the other. It was really pretty.
- Then we walked up the palace/castle
thing to the inside of the courtyard. This building itself, structurally
wasn’t all that cool. What made it cool was all the paintings on the
outside that gave the illusion that it was built more intricately then it
really was.
- After that we walked back to the
hotel.
- We had a free coffee and dessert in
the hotel café so we took our study stuff and went down there for a while.
We got quite a bit of work done, but I just hate doing it right now.
- I took a bath because the bath was
so nice. It was wonderful, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
- Then we got ready for dinner at
6:30.
- It was the special Christmas dinner.
The tables were all set nice and everyone came dressed up really nicely. I
wore my green dress and looked very nice.
