150 miles through the Appalachians

Nicks Story.  What a beautiful drive through the mountains on the Blue Ridge Parkway.  The speed limit is 40mph and there are view stops every few miles....and trees, lots and lots of trees.  I had my drinks and snacks and slowly made my way down the country, stopping at little restaurants and enjoying the local food.  The freshness in the air was great after 11 months of dust and dirt and the views were incredible.  If I had had any energy at all I should have stopped and done some trekking.....but unlike the van, I was on empty and just kept on going.
