Isle of Skye was beautiful (as were the other places)! Different again. It wasn't frosty here 'coz we were near the sea. We did heaps this day. We only had one day to really see the place so we tried to fit in as much as we could. In the morning we caught the bus back onto the mainland (about 15 minutes back) to see Eileen Donan Castle. It was absolutely pissing down with rain and we got soaked. But it was worth it. It was absolutely gorgeous. This castle was where the movie Highlander was set. The castle is not all original but it's still looks pretty old, and obviously some parts of it are original.

After that, we headed up to Portree which is the capital of the Isle of Skye, and passed some incredible scenery along the way. Portree was a magical little town. We had a nice meal there too.

We changed to a different hostel back in Kyleakin where we were staying, and it was much cosier and nicer. I spent like three hours that night on the phone to my parents! It was great to chat. We had dinner at the Saucy Mary's pub again, and yet another group on Haggas Tour were there - so again lots of Aussies and Kiwis, but no band that night.

I had never seen terrain like I saw in Isle of Skye before this in my life. So brutal but at the same time enchanting. By brutal I mean the jaggedy rocks and the water just streaming down the hills (they are more like mountains, but technically they are hills). I wouldn't want to get lost there... you'd be dead for sure, just 'coz of the severity of the weather.
