We got to the Malaga area December 31, in time to have a nice dinner at what turned out to be our favorite restaurant and then watch fireworks over the Mediterranean at midnight.  (One of the few times since the kids left home that we have managed to stay up until midnight on New Year's Eve)

New Year's Day we went to Malaga and walked around the Alcazaba, an Arabic fortress built on the hillside over Malaga.  The remains of a Roman theatre have been discovered here, thought to have been from the time of Augustus.

We had a great condo on the beach.  We could have stayed several weeks and been busy every day.  This trip we decided not to rent a car and we took the bus up and down the coast to various towns.

You're sure getting to see a lot of the countryside. The places you're visiting are many of the ones I'd enjoy seeing, so I'm especially enjoying your travels. Michael.
