This morning, Nat and I got up at the crack of dawn to meet our tour group. We arrived with a bit of time to spare before beginning our bus ride out to Dover to catch the ferry over to France. The ferry kept us amused for the 2 hours with the duty free shops, lounges and the bars. Naturally, we grabbed a bottle of Absolute vodka and yummy lollies and chocolates to keep us going on the tour. We saw a massive Toblerone in the duty free shop that was huge and kept us amused for quite some time, unfortunately I couldn’t afford it and had to part with it when leaving the ferry.

When we arrived in Calais, it was raining and windy and I was already slightly ill from the lollies. We met up with our group we would be travelling with, not exactly what we were expecting – anyone else under 30 on this bus???

After driving on the bus for a couple of hours we arrived in Brussels. First, we checked into our hotel, which was really really nice (this should have been a sign that the vodkas for be 2 for about 16 euros!). We headed out in the rain to the city square we was really beautiful, the buildings were very old and the little shops and cafés around were cute! We decided to grab dinner and have a Belgian beer at a little Greek takeaway shop which was yummo. After a little stroll around the square we headed back to our hotel after an exhausting first day
