I can't believe it's been 8 days already... Dad and I had a wonderful time.  I got to hear a ton of stories about the past 5 times he's been to Europe.. I had no idea he was so well traveled.  I wonder where I get my travel bug from??.... We walked and saw and walked and got lost and ate and talked and laughed.  It was great - Next time I hope the whole family can go - It would have been great to have Matt and Mom with me too!!

Today we saw the Cathedral - wow how impressive.  Mass was going on so it had a really profound "holy" feel to it - I know it's a church and should anyway, but it was different.  It almost brought tears to my eyes in an overwhelming - I'm so small - way.  I don't know how to explain it.  Then we walked all thru the Gothic quarter, very cool buildings.  Nothing as cool as the Gaudi Buildings we saw.  He was one cool architect.  This is the guy that George on Sienfeld would really have wanted to be.... We then went back to the large Cathedral square just in time for the noon Sardana Dances and full orchestra on the steps.  The dance is done every Sunday (and others) it seemed like the Bingo Crowd might also be the main dancers - but it was neat to see.  After we found a pretty good vegetarian resturaunt all you can eat place for lunch - where dad proclaimed that it was "perfect" and "if he died right then he would be satisfied with his life" (i thought it was just ok) but he's a fan of the all you can eat for under $10... we walked a lot more (alot more) to the the three top Gaudi buildings and the OH MY GOD SO SUPER COOL Church he built... It's under construction now and for the next couple of years, but it was amazing.  The picture of the two of us is so funny I had to post it - this woman took it for us and she was so close to us and squating on the ground - we didn't have the heart to ask someone else.  We both feel like that we saw pretty much all that we could while we were in Spain.  We traveled 1000 miles, stayed in 6 different cities, ate just about every kind of food (still searching for that perfect spanish meal) saw really cool stuff and we still like each other.

Can you see the mass on the TV...

I think for me Barcelona is probably my favorite and then Sevilla.  Dad says the same but in reverse order and we both agree that the Alhambra was our favorite attraction.  We head to the airport at the same time tomorrow - so it will be an airport goodbye.

More from Florence when I arrive....
