Left after a leisurely breakfast and rejoined the truck after so long.  We drove straight through to just before 11am when we reach the border.  Crossing the Brazilian border out was easy enough and shortly afterwards we reached the Venezuelan border where there were lots of armed guards and we were back into speaking Spanish.  Firstly we had to show our yellow fever certificates, the first time we have been asked for these.  During this time if anyone wanted to go to the toilet they needed an armed guard to escort them.  Afterwards we had to move the truck and get out our bags and put these through a scanner and then after we satisified these requirements we finally got to immigration and to enter Venezeula.  At this point we needed to pay our entry tax but they had all gone on lunch, so we ended up taking the truck into town where we exchanged money or got this from an ATM.  We then got dropped off at the hotel and Truman and Euan headed back to the border to pay the entry fees.  The hotel was located a little out of town but an Ok walk in.  There was little around that was open, big siesta time, so we headed to the internet for lunch and a catch up with everything.  The burger there were a little strange as they were served panini style.  Headed back afterwards to the hotel and dorm room with kitchen that I was sharing with some of the other girls and chilled with some wine that had been chilling in the fridge.

And as Brazil had with the health warnings on cigarette packs so does Venezuela.  Put them all in this entry - and once again they all have names.
