• Sunday - July 8, 2001:
• It was cold in Sydney and the ground was still wet from a passing rain earlier that night. After collecting our luggage and making our way through customs, we took a bus over to the domestic terminal for our next flight to Brisbane. I was tired and worn down a bit. We took off about 7 a.m. for the hour long flight up to Brisbane. We were served our second breakfast that morning; the first breakfast being served about two hours before landing at Sydney.
• The approach to Brisbane took us over Moreton Bay. It was a bit windy in Brisbane as we made our final approach. It was going to be a cool but bright and sunny day. I would be meeting my aunt and uncle for the first time in 31 years along with several cousins and their families. I was a bit nervous about it all.
