So after a long train overnight from Rotterdam I arrived in San Sebastian where I once more met up with my travel buddy Cam, we decided that as there was no accomodation in San Sebastion we would just go to Pamplona and hope to find a place or stay up all night as the running is at 8am and only lasts 3 minutes.

WHAT A PARTY. EVERYONE was wearing all white with red bandana around the neck and red scarf around the waist, very cool to see, so Cam bought the full outfit and I bought a tshirt to fit in a bit more, such a festival and party atmosphere, that night there were bands playing everywhere from local communities, thousands of people dancing in the square, fireworks, lots of drinking, and overall great spirits! We ended up sleeping in a park after exhaustion took over, and at first there were about 4 other people sleeping there also, but by the morning there were bodies scattered everywhere, it was very funny! We made our way to the stadium where you can watch everyone run into with the bulls, great fun, noisy still drunk people singing and doing the wave.

When the people run in if they are early people throw stuff at them, then all of a sudden there are more people running MUCH faster followed by the bulls. What I wasnt expecting was that once the bulls are away they let out a smaller bull with blunted horns who basically runs around getting tormeted then attacking people, some of whom were hit VERY VERY hard, NOT up my alley really, but still cool to watch.

We left that morning for San Sebastion and a day on the beach before catching the night train to Barcelona.
