Amy and Jeremy were married today at 11:00 in New Braunfels, Texas, at First United Methodist Church.  Amy looked elegant in her bridal gown accented by a wide satin sash, and the short ceremony was very moving.

The ceremony was followed by an outdoor champagne brunch held at Das Anwesen, a B&B complex a few miles outside of town.  http://www.dasanwesen.com/

The Wedding!

Brunch comprised two types of mini-quiche, sliced ham, and field greens tossed with mandarin oranges and spiced pecans with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing.  The mimosa bar was doing a brisk business, serving regular mimosas as well as pomegranate "pomosas" (we made that name up.) Wine and tubs of Texas beer were in abundance, and water and iced tea stood on the side.

Das Anwesen has a "pharmacy museum," an old pharmacy moved from a downtown location and set out on the ranch in a shady glade.  The Pharmacy Museum was open to wedding guests, who could look at the old fountain, antique postcard stock, and other interesting items.  A real plus to the museum was the air conditioning, as it was about 95 degrees out in the sun.  Fortunately, the guest tables were set under a canopy of tall trees, so it didn't get nearly as hot in that setting.

A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL!!  More photos follow on next page. Click on any photo to enlarge it.

The newlyweds leave Sunday morning (July 13) to drive to Disney World in Florida for their honeymoon.  Amy teaches school and Jeremy works with Toyota.

New Braunfels is a nice little town, though I didn't see much of it since this was a personal visit.  But visitors flock to its river for water activities, among which is the "world's best waterpark," Schlitterbahn.  Take a look at some links.
