On our way to Cinque Terra we stopped at Pisa to see the Leaning Tower.  We took the typical pictures where it looks like you are holding up the tower, walked around the town and then hoped  back on the train to go to Cinque Terra.

Cinque Terra is 5 towns connected by train and a hiking path.  We stayed in Vernazza and everywhere you go from the beach requires you to go up lots of stairs.  It was 99 stairs up to our room so you always made sure you had everything with you when you left the room.  We had a terrace in the cliffs with the most amazing view.

Cinque Terra was our little vacation within our holiday.  We gave the girls a chance to sleep in after all the early mornings and late nights.  We got to the beach in Monterossa the first day and the sea was very inviting as it was very hot.

We spent another day hiking the Cinque Terra.  We took the train to Monterossa and started there as there is a lot of up and down in this part of the trail and thought it was best to tackle it before it got too hot.  The views were incredible and we got a chance to wander through the other towns.
