We took a one-day excursion on this sailing vessel to some of the small islands between Kos and Kalymnos. They fired up the grill on a tiny island and we had a fantastic meal. We did a little snorkeling but the water was a bit cold this time of year.
On the return trip we heard someone yell "Shark! Shark!". We all scrambled over in time to see a huge shark fin piercing through the water and traveling at high speed on the starboard side. As it turns out, the crew was just playing their standard prank on us. It was a fin-shaped sharp rock sticking out of the water with fast tidal current giving it the illusion of high-speed travel. They sure fooled us!
The streets of Kos were suddenly filled with the cruise ship crowd.
