Guess what?... We drove all the way to Silverton in outback NSW, the town famous for being the setting for Mad Max. The town with the famous pub that features in several Tv adds in Australia, and around the world, and I DID NOT TAKE A SINGLE PHOTO OF THE PUB! I can't believe it! I don't know how it didn't occurr to me!
I took photos of the Mad Max replica car out the front, I took photos of the 'nothing' paddocks, I took photos of the long, sparse road, but no photos of the headlining pub! We visited the heritage museum in the old town jail, and we spent an afternoon inside the pub having a quiet drink and meeting some of the locals. No photos there. We spent the night in a lovely (and luxurious - a great step up from caravan parks!) cottage on a local resident's property, and we marveled at the isolation, the red dirt and the wide blue sky. No photos there. This time I didn't capture it all on film... I had a break from the camera.
DID NOT TAKE A SINGLE PHOTO OF THE PUB!

But without photos to prove it, we still had a great time in Silverton and would recommed the short drive out from Broken Hill to anyone who is in the area =)
