And so on the road again.  Nothing of note here really.  We stopped off in a random petrol stop/cafe in between Gin Gin and Mirium Vale, and got a drink.  The boys also turned up, and we all sat out the back for a bit, where Rens got chatting to two young children.  It transpired that they used to live in one of the motel rooms out the back, until their mum's friend 'gave them the house out the back'.  Rens spent the next 10 minutes entertaining them by spraying his water into his mouth, but I'm not sure he wasn't entertaining us more than them.

We arrived in Rockhampton at about 5, and sat around chatting the lads, who were counting out about $100 in collected change.  It was really humid, and after an hour or so, it became increasingly apparent that a storm was coming.  The lads got their tent pitched and, not wanting to sit in the van all evening, we made plans to head into town for a couple of hours.  We asked in reception, and just before the rain started Rick, Tim, Rens, Dan and I headed to the Great Western hotel bar.  It was so cool!  It was a Western rodeo type bar, and they actually had live rodeos every month!  The boys ordered steak, but Rick had already eaten, and I wasn't that hungry.  When the steak came out though, Rick managed to convince me to share one with him - it was amazing!!

The next morning, after a quick dip in the pool, we set off early for Airlie Beach.
