After another quick flight we landed in Phitsanulok a small city that is primarily known for it's bronze Buddha making and a night market by the river. An interesting place with a buzz of small town life. Towards the end of the night market we found a caravan, a BBQ, a Band and a bloody skillful chef. As a combination they put on a surprisingly good show. The band, consisting of mainly Bongos would play there tune, the chef would work his wok over the flame, the crowd would clap along and the next lucky customer crowned with a palm headset, would be lead to the roof of the caravan via an external metal stairwell from where they would have the task of catching there meal that was skillfully flung to them by the chef.... Once the meal was successfully court the crowed would cheer and the next customer would be crowned and put through the same paces.... A joyous and creative dining occasion.

Exploring the rest of the markets wonders we picked up a few trinkets, among others was a 'good luck stone lion' that I was told by the lady store owner that I must clean and take good care of every day for it to bring me luck, yet to see the luck part and maybe I should stop cleaning it...!?, either way he is a pretty cool little Jade lion. Once the market exploration was exhausted we headed for a river restaurant to try and find some cool air and a bite to eat....

A joyous and creative dining occasion

After one night in this honest little city we hopped on a bus that reminded me of an American 50's dinner with all it's chrome and red vinyl and headed North for an hour towards Sukhothai....
