So we arrived in Boquette after a couple buses, or more accurately a mini-van with a capacity for 10 people that had about 50 and a big yellow pimped-out school bus.

Boquete is a very small and nice town in the mountains, so the weather was cool breezy and fresh.  We were at somewhat of a loss with no Lonely Planet since we only brought the Costa Rica one (though we spent the first two weeks saying how much it sucked...serves us right) but we found a nice lodge with not-so nice hosts.  The one time we heard a warm "Hola" from them as we walked into the door, it turned out to be their parrot, that wouldn't shut the hell up after that.

Killer mountains and beautiful dogs..or is it the other way around?

Upon arrival we decided to do a load of laundry since the day was ending anyway and we were out of clothes.  We found a place that for 3 bucks will do your laundry for you and let you play video games for 30 minutes and get your butt kicked by a local in Def Jam's fighting game.

The next day we decided to do the waterfall hike with some new people we met at dinner the night before which was nice.  We ran into some rangers who told us about monkeys they had seen along the trail and on our way back we saw they left us a makeshift sign made out of rocks, bamboo, and paper with an arrow point up and the word "Monos" which means monkey in spanish, written on it. Sure enough there was a huge family of howler monkeys and we spent the next 8 hours staring at them since Sarit wouldn't leave.  The other people we hiked with got bored of waiting for us (AKA Sarit) so they left but we caught up with them on the way down.  On the way back to town, instead of taking the 2 dollar taxi, we decided to get some exercise and see some more sights by walking back.  It  was beautiful and serene, until we passed a house with a beautiful painting and 5 rottweiler dogs with beautiful (read "killer") teeth.  Luckily we got out of there alive and with no dog bites, but Gilad had some Sarit nail prints all over the arm she was holding when we walked by the dogs.

We were considering staying another day but decided to head off to our next destination of Bocas Del Toro.
