From airport, we transffered to Bern by coach. Our driver, Peter is a very nice and careful driver. We stopped to visit Rheinfall, near the northern Swiss border town of Schaffhausen. It was a huge waterfall in the middle of the Rhine river that was in clear view from the Swiss trains going across the top of the valley. Rheinfall is the largest waterfall in Europe in terms of volume of water passed. It's not actually that tall, only 23m, but with the full weight of the Rhine running over it, it looks very spectacular. And like Niagara Falls, a whole town (Neuhausen am Rheinfall) has been built around the cottage tourist industry that the Rheinfall has attracted.

The air in thr Rhein was very cooling. We were very excited with the magnificent view of the fall and snapped many pictures. Me, Claudia & husband, Eugene, Enqin and my roommate Sandy were in one gang while touring the Rheinfall.
