At noon we touched down in Perth, and after being sniffed by the cutest Beagle, and being found to be 'food-free' we collected our luggage, got in a taxi and headed for our B&B in Northbridge, Perth City.
We arrived at the B&B and were shown to our room, the houses over here seem to be much bigger than at home and our bedrooms were a good size , en-suite with panoramic views over Perth city centre. after a shower and quick change we headed off into town as by now it was 3:30 pm and we wanted to have a look at the city centre before everything closed. Unlike the UK the people here take Sundays off and all the shops close. Our Sunday would be spent on the bus anyway. We walked around the city centre and Andrew poined out the sights he could remember from his previous visits. It was pleasently warm and we decided to go for a cool beer and a snack as we planned to eat later.
One thing about all the folks we have met here is how friendly and genuinely helpful they are

We found "Fast Eddies" an old haunt of Andrew's - a 24 hour restaurant which is frequented by "Stars of stage and screen, Professionals and Accountants - cerlified and not, Gentlemen of the cloth and Ladies of habit"
We settled down outside to a wonderful long cool beer, with a plate of Nachos with melted cheese and salsa - almost as good as Amanda's (!) and a bowl of wedges. Savouring the moment and watching the world go by.
We headed back to the B&B for a rest before dinner, this proved to be a big mistake as we both went out like a light and it was about 2:00am when we woke up - just in time to go to bed ! thinking about it it was not surprising as we had been up for 36hours just napping on the flights down to here.

We awoke again at 6:00am time to get dressed and ready for our bus trip. we had a huge Full English breakfast to set us up for our Journey. We headed off down to the bus station being driven there by the B&B owner. One thing about all the folks we have met here is how friendly and genuinely helpful they are. You will probably get sick of hearing that but we can't get over it.
We arrived at the bus, loaded our bags in the hold, boarded and took our seats for the journey. The bus was smooth, fast and of course air conditioned. In no time we were leaving the city and heading out into the bush.
