You can't sit on a beach all day with kids.  The sun in Antigua is fierce, it get's too much after a couple of hours. So we book up a tour with a friendly taxi driver - he is quiet which we like, but seems caring.

He suggests Devil's Bridge which is a natural stone bridge carved out by the sea.  Sounds interesting so we go.  There is also a beach nearby so we plan to head there afterwards.

It's a great view across the island, almost better than the bridge itself.
The views, and the lovely Matthew!

On the way it's interesting to see the countryside.  There is clearly some wealth here, some of the buildings look brand new, and very luxurious.  The new cricket ground looks better than those in the UK.  The taxi driver points out his village and where he lives.  It is in contrast with Saint John's, the bungalows and gardens all look well kept, and it seems that people have a lot of pride.  It seem's a nice place to live.

Devil's Bridge reminds us of the seas in Australia.  It's a great view across the island, almost better than the bridge itself.

We head to Long Bay Beach.  This beach has hotel's along it, much like Dickenson Bay.  The sea is rougher though, not really suitable for the kids.  Nonetheless we all have a good time, including a few anxious moments when Lloyd tries to make a run for it into the water!  We tend to let them go in the sea, but we are very careful at making sure we follow their every move.

We finish with beers in the bar the taxi driver is sitting at.  Matthew get's scared of the locals - though he is scared of the local's in the UK so this is nothing new!  We sit and drink Wadaldi, and for a time it's peaceful.  Then Lloyd wakes up.....

Yeah, Antigua is a lovely place, well worth the visit.  It's got everything you need to have a great holiday.  Will we go back - I doubt it, there are plenty more places to see.
