Off to Bordeaux. Gulped down a motion sickeness pill and survived the ride. I HATE the TGV!!! As we are making our way to the hotel, one thing we notice that is different than Paris is the size of the dog poop on the sidewalk. In Paris, there were little dogs and little poopies on the sidewalk. Well in Bordeaux there are LARGE dogs and equivalent sized poop on their sidewalks. Disgusting... Coby was our Poop alert alarm.

We did an initial walk around town. I didn't have much tourist info to go by, so we went around the old part of town. Really run down and generally dirty looking buildings though. Most buildings are sandstone, so I guess it gets dirty pretty fast w/the pollution in the air. I have to say Bordeaux had the best street signage of all the places we've been to.

Just as we were giving up hope of seeing anything interesting, I saw a crowd of people. Turns out there is a water park where there is a huge reflecting pool about a block long and about 2in deep. Coby ran in and then rolled in the water. Since it was so hot, I figured I'd let him soak himself as he'd dry off on the walk back to the hotel. I think that was the most fun he had on the trip.
