Lucy and Mike were kind enough to invite all the roommates out to where they live in West Cork and Youghal. We first went to mass in Youghal which is a pretty little town on the coast, a lot like Cobh. The mass was packed, and Liam and I had to stand in the back for part of it. After mass, we went to a restaurant called Gazebo's which Lucy and Mike recommended. It was awesome! We all picked out on roast beef and vegetables and chocolate cake. After that, Lucy and Mike took us on a tour of the city. We saw the old churches, the city walls, Cromwell's Arch, the visitor center, and the beaches. We then went to go meet Lucy's parents who were wonderful. We even got a piano show! After that we headed to Mike's house in the country side of West Cork. His family owns around 100 acres and they raise cattle. We also got to ride his ATV for a while and get our church clothes all dirty. The whole time was wonderful, and I am very grateful for Lucy and Mike to have shared their home lives with us for a day.
