Pick a winery, any winery

We spent the day in the Margaret River area hopping from winery to winery. Mike & I know NOTHING about wine. Alyssa knows a bit more than we do. Ray is the wine expert.
I've never liked red wine, but seeing as how we're in Australia's wine country, what better place to give it a shot. I tried a handful of red wines at various wineries. The verdict? I still don't like red wine.

The winner for "Best Winery Name" goes to .... drumroll please .... Swings & Roundabouts. How fun is that? They had all kinds of cheesy stuff hung up on the walls -- and the wine wasn't too bad either (the white that is, *wink*).
Our last stop (tasting at most ended between 4-5pm) was the Sandstone Winery. They hadn't had many tasters that day (perhaps more people were drawn to the winery across the road with the, ahem, "Chick on a Stick") and since it was after 4pm when we were leaving, the taster lady (also owner of the vineyard) gave us each a bottle to take with us -- FOR FREE. They'd been opened the previous day & wouldn't be good the next. All four were basically full -- and each retailed for around $25 at the cellar door. How nice was that! One fun fact -- the label on the wine was a picture of 4 flat stones. The owner told us each stone represented one of her children.
Dinner tonight was a BBQ cooked by chef Ray. We had steak, lamb, and hot dogs (which tasted like american breakfast sausage). He also made some curry couscous. For dessert - nectarine & peach crumble (they'd stopped at an orchard on their way to Mandurah). How nice is that?
