Driving to Key West for the evening

After diving on Saturday 9/15, we all took naps, lounged by the pool, and so on. Although the divers on our boat today warned us that it was Bike Week, after our naps we set off for Key West. The drive was as fabulous as I had hoped. The bikers were as loud as I had feared. We got to see the sunset, which was beautiful. We left right afterward when a severe thunderstorm started and I slipped and fell on the wet sidewalk, having had the tremendous foresight to wear completely flip-flops with no traction. On our way out of town, we stopped by mile marker 0 to pose for photos. We drove straight through from Tavernier, which took about 2 hours each way.
Although it was Bike Week, we set off for Key West.
