we arrived just before dark. the grand tetons are ridiculous. the mountains look like the ones on the coors light cans, minus the can and much larger. we rolled into the park just as the sun was setting behind the peaks. driving in front of jackson lake with the mountains and sunset behind was the best postcard sight we've seen yet. too bad we don't have any good pics of it. like i said before, pictures don't really do any of these places justice. this experience was awesome and sublime.

This was the first time I have ever been able to see the swirl of the milkyway in the night sky. unbeleivable! we heard a coyote party at about 2 am and then went to sleep in the cold outside air.
