Whale riding anyone?

Vava'u is amazing, so much more beautiful than Nuku'alofa which is kind of dirty ihat tropical island city kind of way. In Vava'u we tendered, so it was lovely to breeze across the clear blue water to the islands.

It's meant to be a great place for watching whales, but as P&O Cruises wasn't offering a whale watching shore-ex, we instead did an excursion to the beach and lay there for a couple of hours.  There are a lot of pigs in Tonga, and they might not be able to fly but they sure like to swim!

It would have a nice day for a bit of whale spotting it was a stinker!

Steve and Lynn however took an independent whale watching tour and saw loads of whales - gutted!  It would have a nice day for a bit of whale spotting it was a stinker!
