Planning

So the "trip" to Raleigh is really short -- I live nearby so it's not like the trip to the airport was a huge deal.  Or it wouldn't have been except that I am travelling with about forty other people (I'm probably way off on this count, but the point is that it's a big group) not to mention a few hundred pounds of mulitmedia equipment (cameras, microphones, audio recorders, tripods, laptops, hard drives...generally speaking, enough electronics to run a remote newsroom).  Two hours of checking in later, and we were forced to wait for an evil delayed flight to Dallas.  Luckily it was only thirty minutes late coming into Dallas, or we'd have run the risk of missing the connection.

All of this was preceded by tons of planning on a personal level as well as on a project one, though the project planning was really handled by our faculty and coaches.
