Ouch......that was my first thought this morning.
Yep, burnt to a crisp I think is the best way to decribe myself.
But would I let that stop me conquering mana.....hell no!
The day started with me an Jim walking to the end of the island. We strolled around Sunset beach from where you can see Castaway Island....the place where the Tom Hanks film Castaway was shot. We wondered round then headed back over to the hostel, though the 5* resort next door. I popped in to see how much they charge for the internet...... $20 for 30 mins! Fuck that I announced maybe a bit too load.....but I suppose if you can afford to stay in a 5* resort you can afford to pay extorionate prices for the internet! So we went back to our lowely hostel and had lunch....curry and rice....not bad for free! I decided to be sensible and stay out of the sun from then on till the middle of the afternoon, when it got a bit cooler. So I spent the early afternoon once again contently watching the world go by, reading my book while enjoying a cold beer. My god its a hard life I lead!

So, come 4pm I decided it was once again safe to venture out. I'd been eyeing up this hill at the end of the beach all day, the highest point in Mana, cos I bet the view would be amazing. I tried rallying the troops but no-one else would come so I set off by myself!
Before I could get there though I found a little boy in the village with blood pissing out of his foot, so I picked him up, and carried him over to where some of the local villagers were lounging about (which seems to be all they do!)...I then rushed back over to the hostel, grabbed my first aid kit, rushed back patched him up.....Tim the Hero! YEAH!

I couldnt be arsed to go and put the first aid kit back so I just decided to scale the hill with the first aid kit in tow. It was steep to start of with, I had to go up on hand and knees pulling myself up on bits of grass. It was a pretty quick climb to the top, took me maybe 10 mins, but as I suspected the view was Stunning. I could see the whole Island with all the other islands dotted around. I sat there for about half hour having a fag, awe struck by the beauty of the scenery.

I noticed there was actually a path going to the top, from the other direction, so I walked along there, along the top of the hills, past where there creating a set for a reality TV series, then down throught the village over to the hostel.
I got back triumphant from conquering 'Mount Tim', to find the others preparing to go over to sunset beach to watch the sunset. So after a quick intake of water, I headed off again, towards sunset beach.
Theres little more satisfying than watching the sunset over the sea, and it was brilliant. The sky turning lovely shades of red and orange as the sun went down.

Anyhow, back at the hostel again, it was just a case of a few drinks before I once again hit the sack again pretty early, but satisfyied I'd conquered Mana.
