After a quick expedition to the local mall, and our fave shop Evans, we cruised on up to Inverness. Another stunning backdrop on another scorching day! We decided to stay in Loch Ness for the night and hopefully do some "Nessie" spotting. The hostel we checked into for the night was wicked, right on the lake and we could hear the water lapping against the shore from our room. It really is a breathtaking lake, and the biggest loch in Great Britain. And was also a little bit cooler being next to the lake and within the trees.  I thought about going for a swim in the loch (Niceye would have been straight in!!) but I am way too much of a chicken, I can't even swim at the beach without thinking a crab might get me, how would I handle knowing a great big monster could grab me?!

After a delicious meal of peanut butter on toast with a microwave chicken tikka masala, I was exhausted so caught up on some guidebook reading for our next expedition and listened to the Scottish bands I had on my ipod, which only worked out to be Garbage, and Franz Ferdinand, even though only half of the band are Scottish. It was such a surreal moment knowing I was sleeping on Loch Ness.
