A later the planned start as Andy needed to buy new tyres for the truck.  He refused to drive on without them and will put on any he can get rather that the Michellen´s he has been told to buy.  He headed out and Kirsty headed to the supermarket whilst we prepared and ate breakfast.  She came back at around 10.50, 20 minutes later than planned but Andy was still not there and eventually arrived about 1 hour later.  Apparently he bought the tyres but had to go somewhere else for them to be fitted and then took ages in doing it.

Got straight on the road and drove through lunch.  Charolotte devised a quiz for the afternoon and this time the cab team beat Mike.  I had been told by Liz from Drago that this area is boring and there is nothing to see - she wasn´t joking.  The landscape is flat, green, with very little houses and the road is straight.  Not really anything more to write about it.  The one good thing though was the road was empty allowing Andy to drive faster.  We weren´t going to make our intended destination of Rio Tilly, a beach resort, due to the time we lost in the morning and the distance we needed to cover.  Andy asked for a town or somewhere about 150-200km short of there and I found the town of Fitz Roy, which is where we ended up staying for the night.  There was nothing there and only one campsite, which luckily we could get the truck in.  At least there were hot showers though.  Had dinner and then toasted marshmallows and stayed up talking with Jules, Julie and Kirsty until late.
