l'Auberge espagnole and the start of School!!
From l'Auberge espagnole in Grenoble, France on Sep 20 '06
On Sunday night a bunch of us went over to Carina's for a french movie and some Chinese food. She lives above a Chinese restaurant and it was really great!! Really authentic. So we ate some food and drank some wine and settled in to watch l'auberge espagnole, a famous french movie. We watched it in French and with the subtitles in French to help. But the movie is about a guy from France going to Barcelona to study abroad, it fit perfectly with our situation here. The movie is pretty funny, and it was fairly simple to understand. It has bits of Spanish, German, and English in it also, because that is what the other students speak. Then we decided to go out to Le Bukana, a pub near the river, and that was really fun. They have these things that look like a huge tube with a spout off it and so you can buy one for about 20€ and share between a few people.
School started today and I had 6 hours of International Negotiation and Sales. It is very weird here because I have 6 days this whole semester that I go to this class, but they are each 6 hours a piece (with breaks of course). So it is a full day of learning!! But our next day for this class isn't until October 30, so not for another month. Isn't that a bit odd?? I think so at least. But we have our schedules for the semester so I have classes some weeks everyday, but other I might have only 1 or 2. Ahhh well, c'est la vie!!!
