This was not a planned stop....we "sprung a leak" and stopped in Ponce for repairs.
Although Puerto Rico is a US territory it still has a Caribbean island feel about it as the people are so friendly and salsa music is in the air.
We travelled east along the south coast of Puerto Rico making stops at Ponce, Salinas, Puerto Patillas, Esparanza, Sun Bay and Ensanada Honda.
Lots of - bargain shopping, lay back people, empanadas, loud salsa music, friendly people, cheap eats, family atmosphere, horses roaming the roads around Esperanza.

Very little - good coffee.
Highlight : Bio-luminescent bays at Spanish Virgin Island of Vieques Disappointment: Unexploded Ordnances on Vieques compliments of US Navy exercises.....a large part of the island is "off limits" because of this...3 bombs exploded announcing our arrival at Ensanada Honda.

Overall, apart from a few minor boat dramas, we had an enjoyable few weeks here.
