And were off and running!!!....and stumbling
From Well this is potentially the most randon trip ever planned out! It has absolutly zero plan to in Berlin, Germany on Jun 14 '07
well, i guess we will tell you about the start of our adventure in chronological order... if we remember. After leaving Arhus we had a nice mellow train ride that took about 6-8 hours. We had the whole compartment to ourselves most of the trip. On the ride we invented the GAME OF DESTINY!!!!! All you need is two or more people and an elastic band, you space yourselves apart a bit and once person shoots the elastic aiming at the other persons mouth(the other person should have his eyes closed for safety reasons) do this for a few hours and time will fly! Well after we got into Berlin we sauntered to our hostel and settled down looked for an atm and got some food.....AND BEER. We met to swiss girls called Emily and Ulrikia(i think that was here name but we called her Eurika) After there was some food in our bellies we started to have a few drinks at the hostel with Dave and Charles from Halifax and the 2 swiss girls and 2 more of there friends. Soon a very entertaining sociables game was underway. It seems that everyone in the hostel knows what sociables is and they all have facebook. Soon everyone wanted to go out and find a club so we began walked through the wild streets of berlin. A few minutes after we got outside it started raining soooo hard, luckily we were all "a bit" intoxicated and we didn't seem to get cold or mind standing in the rain. Soon after walking past the biggest part of the Berlin wall we got to one night club with a pretty huge lineup so we went and found us another one. When we got there the bouncers said we weren't allowed in cause we didn't "fit in." We thought that was rather lame so we got in a big 8 person taxi and drove about 500 meters. Then we got out and looked for another club but failed to find one cause it was probably around 3 in the morning. We stumbled home sometime after that and chilled in the lounge eventually all going to bed. The next morning someone told us the reason we didn't fit in to the club we went to was cause it was a huge gay bar where the first floor was exhibitionism(leather and assless chaps and stuff), the second floor was a gay lounge, and the third was a big dance floor... shame we didn't get in...... well im gonna take a pause and let some other people on the computer right now but part 2 of Berlin should be up shortly.
Alright well It's mine (adam) turn on the computer now so I suppose I'll pick up the task of finishing the travel blog!
Alright well we woke up the next day (yesterday) and I figured Ras needed to see he city of Berlin so I took him on an absolutely awesome walking tour. Even though I've already seen it all its still absolutely amazing again too see how much history Berlin really has! We saw it all... the Hotel Michael Jackson hung his baby out of out, The Brandenburg gate, Hitlers bunker, The wall, the site of the book burnings ... everything! Absolutely amazing! About half way through our tour though the tour guide informed us that the same tour group would be doing a pub crawl that night and that we should tag along! So we figured hey why the heck not... a little alcohol couldn't hurt anyone right? Boy were we wrong!!!! Anyways, We trekked back home again past the largest part of the Berlin wall thats still standing and decided to make ourselves some gourmet pasta dinner! Then it was go time haha. We headed out with Dave and Charles again and when we got there decided that we were going to make this the best pub crawl to have ever happened! The whole thing starts out with unlimited beer for the first hour and we figured that we needed to drink up cause we didnt want to spend much money for the rest of the night... bad idea haha. Little did we know that all four of the tour guides have backpacks full of 2.6's of vokda and orange juice and they are just constantly pouring shots for you while you walk to the next bar and to make matters worse ras and I just happened to find the one tour guide that no one else had found so she was only filling our glasses up! I think we'd had 14 shots and 5 beers before we even got into the second bar!!! Recipe for disaster haha! Anyways the first club was really awesome though. The entire floor of it was sand and it was like an outdoor beach club. It also had dragons on the inside which blew huge fire balls to the beats of the songs! Oh and how could I have forgotten... jager shots for a euro. The third bar was more of a relaxing bar and we just laid back and conversated with a group of four married woman. The next bar was a little crazier though and this is were things really started to go downhill. The walls were entirely white and I don't really remember what th bar looked like cause I spent most of the time in the bathroom praying to the gods of porcelain. Ras says it was really awesome though and I totally believe him haha. After that bar we all piled into the Metro and headed to the club. After 10 minutes of like a hundred people Chanting OLE OLE OLE OLE!!!!! OLEEEEEEEE!! OLEEEEEEE!!! (you know that soccer chant that everyone knows) we were finally there. No one else seemed to have a problem getting in but apparently I was falling asleep so they told me I was allowed in the club... which was fine with me I really needed to go home and get to bed. But as I was leaving the club I walked entirely the wrong direction and ended up about 40 minutes away from home! it was a good thing I met a couple local girls and they took me most of the way home or I'd probably still be wandering around the city! Anywanys after that I just headed to bed seeing as it was already 4 or so in the morning... Ras on the other hand had a slightly more eventful adventure for the rest of the night!!! He doesn't really remember what happened to him either but he was in a massive club with many different kinds of music and tons of people. He was in it till about 6 in the morning and lost connection with the other people from the hostel. He ended up walking in a huge circle and it took 1 hour to get to the hostel which was a ten minute walk away. After a few hours of sleep we are now just hanging out in the lounge of the hostel with slight hangovers. Well today we are probably gunna go sightseeing a bit and take it easier tonight. Well tomorrow we head to Amsterdam for more awsome adventure.
Love Adam and Raz
