A Famous Castle, rain, Isle of Skye, more rain, a really cool waterfall, and more rain

Did a lot of driving today, our main goal, to get to the Isle of Skye via Eilean Donan Castle, one of the most photographed castles in Scotland.  We visited the castle in the morning, it was pouring rain, but luckily most of our guided tour was inside.  The owners of the castle still use part of the castle as a residence and the main rooms are used for functions and stuff.

We headed further towards Skye through some pretty spectacular mountains, I'm sure they are even better when the clouds arn't covering them!

We stayed in a hostel in the middle of nowhere, no shops, no other houses, not even a pub, needless to say it was an early night.

The second day on the Isle of Skye we stayed at a different place, we have forgotten the name of it, but it wasn't much of a town either.  That day we did some more touring around, went to an enchanted river where the secret of everlasting youth lies, and visited an almighty waterfall that was overflowing with the enourmous amounts of water that had fallen that day.

That night we treated ourselves to a seafood dinner at the local pub/resturant, and walked out at midnight to a clear sky and a full moon shining over the Loch... looking forward to a bright and sunny morning!
